I recieved a great email. I sent it to all the Dagorhir and Mottistone addresses that I have. The invitation is an Adobe Reader file, otherwise I would copy and paste it here. If you would like the email and attachments forwarded to you, please ask. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All LARP Representatives, The Duchy of the Northern Holdfast (Ft Collins, CO)would like to invite you and any members of your respective groups to the Feast of Mercodonius (See attachment for details). Your e-mail was obtained at Shade's LARP list (http://www.larplist.com) stating you are the contact for your LARP group. Please forward this to any of your members who would be willing to attend. Also, please respond as soon as possible as space may be limited.
This should be a great place to meet new friends, compare notes, gaming strategies, rules, costuming tips, and have an overall mix of nations where everyone is welcome. ~~~~~~~
I personally plan on attending.... Who else wants to go ?
This is originally from Seldon [/edit] of Amtgard. Since I don't know how to post Adobe Reader attachments. I typed all this out for everyone. (Adobe reader doesn't allow copy & paste!)
III IDES FEBRVARIVS AUC
Sponsored by Stilicho Animus Lionus, Legio Aquilonious
We are now in the dark days of winter, the unlucky days, we have passed the end of the year, yet in the old tradition, the New Year has yet to begin. These days are the old unamed days. Later they were given the name February. Februa was traditionally a religiuos time of fasting and purification, most people had no choice in the matter since winter stores were running out.
But we don't want to fast. Instead we celebrate the month of Intercalans ! Intercalans is the 13th month of the year! It was also called Mercedonius from merces meaning wages, since workers were paid at this time of year. A reason to celebrate! This month ocurred only every other year! It's purpose was to synchronize the lunar Roman Republic calender to the seasonal solar calender. Twenty five months every two years.

I would like to say that I consider the site part of my house and you should treat it accordingly. That means not overly wild. There will be free drinks (I don't own a liquer license, so I can't sell them as part of the feast) if you are over 21, present a valid ID, and are willing to be tatooed. You will be asked to drink responsibly. For the younger generation, I mean no binging ! It also means arrange for designated drivers. For those not of age, or would just not like to drink, there will be non-alcoholic beverages available.
Tickets will be available first come first served: at various game days, or call Dave (Stilicho/Seldon) at 970-484-4577 to order them by phone.
