So all you swashy swashy fighter types aout there, I was wondering who we talk to about picking a fight with your various groups.
I am sure some of you know what the Black Company is about here in Denver, and some of you know the Black Comapny that is tied in with the Dagorhir system.
What we do here in Denver is train in a variety of systems, dagorhir, nero, sca, adn who ever else has combat rules we can download and train in.
Why do we do this? Its simple. We likes to fight.
We meet every Sunday. Noon we start our physical fitness training and by noon we take the field and practice unit manuvers. We train to fight in a military style. Then we go out to other groups practices, take them on, and have fun.
We pimp ourselves out as a military trained NPC pool for storytellers and plot type people. Bottom line we just like to fight, and we will met most people on their terms.
We met every sunday at noon to train, except this Sunday we are going to the Ren Faire as a group. It should be fun. We will even recruit there.
You can come out, check us out, website is on my profile. Let me know i fyou want to test your warriors mettle or if you jsut want to get together and cross swords for fun?
I am also interested in maybe poping out to another fight group, or RP group to get some more activity time for me.

Not currently connected to the offical Dagorhir group. We ahve similarities to them though. We do have physical training, we have a rank structure, we fight in group tactics, and we do lvoe Glen Cook's work.
However the Black Company here in Denver is a bit different in that we do not belong to any group other then our own. We go from group to group and offer ourselves on the field like the mercs we are.
For example my 30 troops are heading out to Conifer to take on Nero in August. We are looking forward to this, and we would love to come out and draw a line with some Dagorhir groups as well.
So where do you all practice, and what times. How many of my crew would you like us to bring out?
On that note you are all welcome to attend our practice as well if you want to pick up a blade and test yourself against any of our band?

Sounds awesome. If there is going to be the roasting of dead animals I will have to make sure we can take a larger group.
I think I am gonna try to get me and at least a few of my people up there weekend after next. I will look at the closer group first, and then up to Loveland we will truck.
Looking forward to crossing swords with all of you. Being that we practice on Sundays as well, you are welcome to come out and see what we are about as well.
We start at noon and go until about 5 or 6 every Sunday, never fail. We start out at the coffee shop, Witches Brew, and then head over to the park after we gear up and give out the info for the day.
See you at either one soon.

Well let me know when you all are back from War. We could make an event of it. Fight, party, and maybe even get some belly dancers?
As a shallow male archtype that sounds fun. ;D

Ah so we can enjoy the sin and debauchery in your absence? I actually have something planned soon that might get a few of your people to make the drive down to the Witches Brew.
I will have the dates and the details worked out by Wednesday.
We are looking at hosting a fund raiser for the BC. This means we will host a stick fighters tourney. I am not sure what the entry fee will be, but the winner will get a good chunk of it.
We are looking at three or four different styles in a bracket. So far what we have worked out is a fee of 5 bucks per bracket, with the winner taking half the kitty, the first loser (second place) gets 25% and the Company keeps the remaining 25% to get more gear.
So it could get interesting if we had enough people want to sign up. Right now we are looking at Shanai as the weapons, but we might do a few foam type weapons. Single stick, sword and board, open weapon, and florentine thus far for brackets.

Hey, you should look up Mottistone of Denver, they heart Shanai. They have a MySpace.
I don't personally like Shanai, or tournaments, but maybe some of the Mordor guys are game.

I know a few of the mottistone peoples. Day is kewl. I was wondering though about Shanai so we can ensure we have enough weapons for a tourny. Otherwise we need to finds more foam swords.
And if you don't like tourny you can still come and watch? And get some gooood coffee and chai

Awesome, so once we have a date, I will make sure to post it up here. Not to many people respond on here though, is it just not that interesting to your troupe to have a tourny or is you guys busy killing things?
Either, I am trying to squeeze a day where I can escape and come beat on Dagohir peoples. I even have some new foamy swords that I want to try out.
