Sunday November 20th, at 6 pm, I will be holding a Mordor Unit meeting (aka Mordorien council). At my place in Loveland.
These meetings will be happening about every 3 months.
Mordorien council meetings consist of 2 representatives from each active unit in Mordor, as well as one rep for the unitless people of Mordor.
Here are the units I know of so far;
Dark Angels; reps: Chupa and Dkini
Army of Mordor; reps: OGR and Squck
Mercenaries ( Everyone in Mordor that isn't in a Unit ) Voted for a rep on Sunday: Dalmar
If you have a unit with 3 or more active members Please see me Sunday. We can fill out a unit info sheet, and you can have your 2 reps sit in the council.
If you have issues you want addressed at the meeting, feel free to post them here, contact your unit reps, or tell Dalmar how you would like him to represent you.
Thanks, Your Magistrate, Cryn

Cryn, After a double check of the bylaws, an active unit is defined by fielding FOUR members in every one of four practices.

That's BS, The Dark Angels only have 3 members in Colorado. And we are definately an active unit. We founded this realm afterall.

Cryn, I'm really sorry about that, but the by-laws clearly state FOUR. This was voted on last year....everyone in Mordor passed it. As an added comment, on www.dagorhir.com, you'll find that DBGA actually requires at least FIVE active members....this can be found dagorhir.com/HowTo/getting_started.htm in the seventh paragraph under "Forming Units." I'll copy and paste it here for everyone's benefit... All Units must have at least five active members, (i.e., they have fought in at least one of the last four battles) and a list must be kept by the Unity of its members. All five members do not have to show up at a given battle or all at the same time, but each must show up at least once every four battles to be considered active. Furthermore, I don't believe that "founding" a realm gives any one unit more authority than any other, nor does it give any one unit permission to break the rules. Amendments can be made to the by-laws...they will bave to be submitted in writing on the appropriate form and passed by the Administrative Board by a 3/5 majority vote. Petal

Bottom line is, Mordor would not be here if it wasn't for Attila, Shadow and Magot. All Dark Angels. Dark Angels have always been a major part of Mordor. I'm not saying we should be "all powerfull" or above the rules.
I'm saying we are a unit that deserves a voice in Mordor.
~~~~~~~~~~
The realm of Mordor has about 20 fighters per battle. The Aratari has about a hundred people per battle. So what the DBGA considers enough to be a unit, is really not comparable to a small realm like ours.
What would be the point in having a "Mordorien Council" with only 1 unit represented ?
I'll bring up minimum unit size at the unit meeting, and see how they feel about it.
Lizard is a Dark Angel spook, so we have 4 anyway.
Cryn, You're right....national DBGA is much bigger than our small realm, which is why when the By-Laws were developed we settled on FOUR members NOT five. The reason four was decided on was that it would hopefully increase unit participation. Again, By-Laws can be ammended, just fill out the form and we'll put it to a vote at a Board Meeting.
I was just looking at www.dagorhir.com and found this; "d) Review and determination of legitimate Active Unit status. vi. “Active” units shall be defined as Units which have: I. Fielded [glow=red,2,300] four[/glow] or more members (participants who have actively participated in at least six Dagorhir Aratari battles in the previous twelve months prior to the time the unit is considered is granted Voting Status on the War Council." Aratari By-lawsSo if the Aratari, who has over a hundred members, has a limit of 4, then Mordor who has about 30 members should have a lower parameter, don't you think ?
Not that it matters....but just so that you are aware... dagorhir.com/HowTo/getting_started.htm#STARTING%20YOUR%20OWN%20DAGORHIR%20UNIT"All Units must have at least five active members, (i.e., they have fought in at least one of the last four battles) and a list must be kept by the Unity of its members. All five members do not have to show up at a given battle or all at the same time, but each must show up at least once every four battles to be considered active. " ~Petal
I was under the impression that our By-laws were mainly based on the Aratari's. Why was something from that page imported in ?
Cryn, We had used the Aratari's By-laws as a guideline. A lot has been changed. The reason for 4 and not 5 had to do with the fact that nationally, DBGA requires 5, and a smaller realm (such as Mordor), whould make exceptions for the fact that we are not as big as national DBGA.
