I've lived in Colorado for a totall of 9 years and had to move to kentucky to find out about this whole Belegarth thing. Crazy life is...
Well, I'm looking to socialize and hopefully keep what I've learned so far from getting old and rusty. I won't be showing up tomorrow, (retail, ugh!) but I would like to know what goes on so I may be prepared for next week. I may or may not fight, havn't decided. (hope you don't mind an audience if it becomes the case)

I was wondering, is it possible that your group has a weapon workshop everyonce in a while?

I'm still pretty new myself, but I will say that rules for weapons are pretty tight about them being standard Dagorhir regulation weapons, so check with the Dagorhir website for full rules concerning that. For weapon building, if you ask some of the veterans, most are pretty friendly, they'll teach/help you to build weapons, so bring your raw materials out! Everybody's pretty chill, too, so even if you don't fight, there's plenty of people just hanging around to talk to. For the Sunday practices, don't worry much about being in garb, not everybody can afford it. next sunday we'll be back at Namaqua Park, and from what I've heard, there will be BBQ (again), so come hungry. Hope to see you there!!!!

aaww man! I love BBQs, unfortunately I have to work, again! (retail) So I'll be missing *another* Sunday. Then the week after that I'll be in NY visiting family, but I'm determined to get out there. I've got THE WORST case of cabin fever and I need to meet new people.
Thanks for the input!

Bummer that you have to work. I have the same problem myself. I'm working in Michigan though, so there's no way I'll be at Mordor practice I haven't been able to make it to any of the practices out here either. (But I did fortunately make it to EQ) Anyway, great to see you posting here Kadlin ! I look forward to seeing you at a practice or an event eventually. Are you going to Octoberfest ? Ogre, thanks for helping with info. There aren't enough local posters on this board lately. Are you the Jeremy Ogre ? I might have mistakingly PM'd you as the Tim OGR. Hehe

Yes, yes, I am the Jeremy ogre, not the Tim OGR. Common mistake, I'm changing my name soon, so stand by on that. I've already picked it out, just waiting for the moment to be right.

No, I'll be in NY/NJ during Octoberfest. Which sucks because I want to go, however I'll be spending time with aunts and uncles so, it's a trade off I guess.
Ditto on meeting you either at practice or an event. I had heard about your fighting skills out in KY and was suprised to hear that you lived only minutes away from me when I moved back. to colorado.

Kadin, There are some loaner weapons floating about....if not, someone will more than likely lend you one. If you'd like to build your own before then, let me know and you can come over here and get some advice/help from myself, Killian, or Jesus. If you need garb, I'll do what I can to help you out with that too....not that it's a requirement, but we love having as many people in garb as possible. If you have any other questions, please let me know and I'll be happy to answer them.

A fort! how awesome!! Thanks for the loaner weapons. I promise I will take care of them and I expect to have some of my own in the near future. I can't wait to meet you Crynolyn, I've heard a bit about you, esp from Thorrinn. I am just glad to be out again. Garb...hmmm does my halloween costume count? Probably but it's also probably too fancy/formal for fighting. Any advice in that department would be helpful, especially where I can find stuff that is but isn't...if you know what I mean. I am living with my mother again and I'd be getting some weird looks/comments if I was sporting full chain mail (although I would LOVE that!). See everyone on Sun! I'll be checking and double checking mapquest to be sure I actually make it and don't get lost....

I can do just about any actual garb you want....catch me at a practice and we'll talk. Prices are VERY reasonable....as I want to see everyone in our realm in garb, and if you happen to rip it or need it repaired, I'll do it free (within reason). As far as sporting chainmaille goes, my fiance, Killian Nightshade ownzoor Nightshade Rose Armory and does custom leather and chainmaille work and again, prices are VERY reasonable. You'll always get weird looks....my mother says it's just my "creative side" LOL!! Anything else you need, just ask.

You know I'd be out there with you if I could, Cryn. I miss being on the field like you wouldn't believe.
