All Hail Rowanoak and Mordor!!!
Rowanoak held their 4th annual Tournament of Souls on October 29, 2005 at O'kane Park in Lakewood, CO. Things got off to a slow start, but as the sun came out so did the fighters.
A few members of Mordor were able to be in attendance: Crynolyn, Petal the Pirate, Ghost Bear, and Killian Nightshade.
Rowanoak provided a well organized Tournament, as well as some goblins for the Mordorians to play with.
The Tournament of Souls pitted every fighter against every other fighter, one on one, best two out of three, with points scored at the end. The four highest scoring individuals were then matched again, one on one, best two out of three. The last two fighters in the Tournament were Rowanoak's Fergus McCloed against Mordor's Killian Nightshade. Fergus fought valiantly, but Killian Nightshade bested him in the first two rounds.
Following the victory, Ogrebane, accompanied by Rowanoak's matriarch, presented Killian with this year's Tournament of Souls Prize.......an excalibur replica sword to (as Ogrebane put it) "hang on your wall or hang on your belt." (At the moment, it's on the wall.)
To Rowanoak, thank you so much for having us and being such wonderful hosts. Your fighters were fair and just and your Tournament run very tactfully.
To Mordor, I wish more of you had been able to attend, we had a wonderful time.
To Killian, Congratulations.
Pictures are forthcoming (just as soon as I figure out the camera...lol!)
Keep Well, Petal
